I've run into this problem before there's a little switch at the bottom of the door pillar with one Phillips screw in it the wire may rust and break off or the groud screw gets rusted in my case it rusted inside of the buttoni baught some from a junk yard for 5 dollars took care of that problem.
If it's like a 1996 tracker the headlights won't come on unless the parking brake is released or the light switch is on.
The Tracker could have two problems, or the sputtering could be confusing the computer and cause the air bag light to come on. Check the fuel pressure, then timing first to troubleshoot the problem.
Most likely the fuse is blown for the dome light on the Silverado if the light doesn't come on.
no it doesnt they didint come out with airbags until 1995 and up
