Either the switch had come un-connected or broken wire or is corroded to point it will not allow electricity to pass. Pull the switch panel apart and use your test light to make sure there is power to the switch. When you find the power feed, run a short jumper wire to master switch and see if it works now. (I'm betting it does) Now it's just a matter of determining why it quit working. It's not a hard job but it can get frustrating. Good Luck :-)
