My personal experience would be replace and properly gap spark plugs, and use a higher octane gas or these yellow bottles called "HEAT". Good luck!
In my 1994 Intrepid SE (sorry, don't remember the specs on the engine), this condition occurred three times in high 90 temps in an area of the country where I could only get gas with ethanol. Mechanic found nothing wrong with the car when I got it home to northern Wisconsin; he even took the car out in high 90 temps, but by then it was running pure petroleum gas, circa 2003. In fact, I never had another problem with the car before I sold it in 2006. My mechanic concluded it was the ethanol created a vapor lock, which killed the engine, and it started again once the vapor had a chance to dissipate, about 15 minutes after the car stalled. The engine really wasn't designed to handle ethanol. I've never experienced anything similar in my 2002 Intrepid R/T.

Hi - I live in Alaska, where temps. drop very low (below zero) but the rule of thumb is "plug at 20", meaning plug in your car at 20 deg. or below...Today must have been right at 20 deg. or just below that today and my 1997 dodge intrepid wouldn't start. It finally did, but I only plugged it in for like 2 min. and it sounded like I blew or damaged something. However, everything seemed to be working fine on the way to the store and back so I should be good. Anyways with the intrepids or any car at that, get an extension cord and plug in the plug in the front of your car to an outlet and after 20-30 min. your car will start just fine (plus it's really good for it!). :)
you could have the recirculation turned on. that would be on the heater control, make sure you are using it on the vent setting. if that doesn't fix it then you have a bad heater core.
