I have a 2005 Chevy Aveo and it was shaking all the time, it needs realigned. I hit a pot hole and the whole car was out of alignment.

I had a shaking problem with my 2005 Aveo 5.The wheels were full of dirt. The repair cost $50.00 and included cleaning out all the dirt and re balancing(which may or may not have been necessary). If you have the time and patience you can remove the wheels and clean them out yourself but a hoist is far superior.

I had washed the car and hosed out the wheels seeing streams of dirt come out.Apparently I had not cleaned them completely and had dislodged and "relocated" the dirt enough to unbalance the wheels.

Shaking can also be caused by imbalance, misalignment and other issues more related to older vehicles.Hitting potholes can cause imbalance/misalignment but the suspension is reasonable on my Aveo.

Hope my experience helps.
