Are the heads and pistons stock ?? sounds like you have something /foreign object in the cylinder. Carbon, broken valve, Rod bearing spun in the rod journal allowing the piston to come up past TDC. Top dead center. Therefore striking the spark plug.
Do you have more then 1 plug smashed ??
If the engine has been souped up with high dome pistons and the clearance is not correct then pistons will strike plugs and probley bend the valves are even brake the valves, good by spark plugs and engine.
