Answer # 1: Fast blinkers generally indicate a bulb out on whichever side is blinking fast. Check both front and rear.
Answer #2 : If the bulb(s) is/are fine, then the problem is likely in either the "turn signal relay" or in the wiring to the turn signal. I am working on this very problem (although it is for a 2008 Ford Escape). The bulbs are fine. I believe the relay is bad (however, I am having a hard time finding the relay. It's supposedly under the dash...but I can't get the access panel cover off. I'm going to try again during the daylight and use a screwdriver. After that....it's off to the mechanic. I will try to post the details once I figure it out (if I figure it out.)
