Many times the problem is a valve cover gasket(s) that has leaked oil onto the hot exhaust manifold underneath it. When you have stopped in traffic, or if you are on a hill, etc., the oil that has leaked has a chance to run down on the hot manifold and smells like rubber or oil burning. Most of the time this is just a nuisance but it should be repaired if is bad enough to the point you can smell it in your car or truck.

In a Fiat Punto, the thermostat for the radiator is typically located within the engine compartment, mounted on the engine block or cylinder head. It is usually situated near the upper radiator hose, which connects to the engine. To access it, you may need to remove certain components or hoses for easier reach, depending on the specific model year of the Punto. Always consult the vehicle's service manual for precise location details and instructions.
