When you fill up the truck it stirs up trash on the bottom of the tank and pulls it up on the sock and slows the flow of gas and it will also pull alot if trash up into your fuel filter.
GM fuel pump failure is common, I wouldn't be surprised if the fuel pump is bad. Have a fuel pump pressure test done. Don't forget to change the fuel filter.
