The reverse may have gone out in your transmission. It can gradually go out, or go out all at once. The only way to know for sure, is to schedule an appointment with a mechanic. I own a 2006 Ford Explorer XLT with around 100k miles (so far I've had no problems...). Best of luck to you though. Hopefully it's an easy/inexpensive fix.
