Why won't 97 buick lesabre start?

Does it turn over?

Does it have spark.fuel, and compression?

It has nothing - no ticky, tick, absolutely dead when I turn the key. But, I do have lights, radio, etc. so battery doesn't seem to be issue

Can anyone recommend a good, trustworthy mechanic in Denver area - other than dealer? ie - one you would send your Mom to. I get so tired of being talked down to by mechanics

Engine seized?

Bad starter?

Bad starter solenoid?

Bad neutral safety switch?

Bad Key "chip" (if so equipped)

Bad ignition switch?

According to repair shop - open circuit to tamper switch caused security system malfunction - $200 repair bill!
