It is unsure at this time, but I have done some research and have seen where they are talking about keep the Chevy Avalanche for the 3rd Generation. I really loved the Avalanche but had to trade it in because of the poor fuel mileage.
I would say if you keep the truck serviced regularly, change oil and all filters etc, you can expect at least 100000 miles before any major problems
The fuel pump runs constantly as long as the engine is running.
It could keep the engine from running, but not the valves from moving.
