The lock mechanism has something worn (you won't be able to see what). You'll have to replace the lock mechanism. It's a common Saxo problem. Replacing the lock is a Chinese puzzle. I have a two page answer to this. It's about the most difficult thing I've ever had to do on my Saxo.
maybe because the air bag is turned off, the switch is inside passanger door and you use ignition key to turn back on, also tells you this in your manual! also if you have a coupe xsara under the drivers seat there is a cable just close them together and that should take the air bag light off.

Push to close, pull to open
Check under the hood, inside drivers fender close to the abs module. It is hidden well.
I believe it is inside, under the drivers side of the dash, on the firewall, close to the fuse box.
If the door is sagging then you could look at the door pins and bushings. If the bushing is cracked then it will sag and therefore not close properly. If that is the case then the pins and bushings should cost under $10 and take about a half hour to do. Hope this helps.
The headlight relay on a 1999 Chevy Cavalier should be inside of the relay box. It is mounted close to the drivers side headlight.
The filter is on the drivers side frame rail close to where the rear of the torsion arm is located.

To properly mount blinds inside the window frame, first measure the width and length of the window frame. Then, install the brackets provided with the blinds inside the frame, making sure they are level. Next, attach the blinds to the brackets and secure them in place. Finally, test the blinds to ensure they open and close smoothly.
Hinge alignment is probably cause - might need the services of a body shop to fix. Car doors should never be "slammed" anyway - that is probably causing some of the problem as the latch inside the door doesn't have enough time to "react" or close around the door latch piece.
The release switch is on the drivers side on the inside frame near the bottom close to where your seat belt pulls out from. Small arm pull up on it!
