the linkages have either been removed/disconnected from inside the door panel (maybe parted out) or the frame has torqued (as in a crash) and they are jammed
If handle has no resistance the handle it's self is broken. When handle has a constant lite resistance from a spring it will be linkage from handle to latch disconnected or damaged (The linkage has small plastic clips holding it in place on each end and break fairly easily.)
Did u ever find a solution?!?! My driver side rear door will not open from inside or out! Both doors won't open from inside but the doors were still useful when opened from Outside. It's annoying!
Open both front doors and remove everything from the front seat to the firewall, no kidding.
you can open it (as most of the cars open there doors)from back to front
Open them from the outside.
Open both front doors and remove everything between the firewall and the front seat :(
Open up both front doors and remove everything from the front seat to the firewall, no kidding.

outside, open-air, out-of-doors
Open both front doors and remove everything from the firewall to the front seat. No joke.
The rod on the door handle has an adjustment. Remove the door handle and adjust the rod so it pushes the locking device further.
French doors can open both inwards and outwards, depending on the design and installation of the door.
I would jimmy open one of the doors and preceed from there to do the repairs..making sure to fix the problem with the door handles first.Rather than damage a door and/ or linkage, I would try to trip the LOCK / UNLOCK button to unlock all 4 doors. Could be tricky with hangers etc., but doable. Once doors are unlocked, go into rear of car and climb over front seat. You can then open the front door from the INSIDE handle. Most likely the linkage became disconnected on both. I know it works. Had to do it when I was a Cadillac tech.
