well you need to check if your getting fuel to the rails on top of the block. if not try a new pump. if you do have fuel to rails listen to ur injectors as it cranks over, you should hear them spraying, if not thiers more. check your spark plugs if you get no spark its an electrical problem. these cars often have problems with the cam angle sensor, if you are getting no spark but fuel in the cylinder then the CAS is good. check your fuses. also if your fuses are good get a wire diagram for your ignition and check for continuity, its possible that the problem is in your key cylender, or the ignition control modual. but id need more info to narrow it down. ============== Also, you may have problems with the key-resistance reader in the steering column - the thingy that measures the resistance across the 'chip' in your key (the wires to these often break). Does the car crank, or do you just get dashboard lights and nothing when you turn the key farther? If you get no cranking, or if the SECURITY light stays on, you should consider bypassing the PASSKEY system: measure the resistance on the key slug (folks call it a 'chip' in the key itself), buy a comparable resistor, cut the proper wires at the bottom of the steering column and solder in the resistor in the place of the key-reader on the column. NOTE: this paragraph is NOT sufficient information to do it (I forgot how to tell which wires were which under the column) but should be enough for you to do a 'net search and find out how to do it. There is also a replacement module out there for sale. If it DOES crank, it still may be the Security system: mine would still crank, but was showing a Security System error. Unhook your battery for a few minutes to clear the error messages, short pins 1 and 2 of the connector by the driver's knees (use a paperclip), turn the key to the 'on' position (not the 'start' position) and watch the 'check engine' light. Count the flashes: it will flash once and then twice to tell you it's about to give you information, then it will give you two-digit error codes in sequence from the most recent going back some time. It could be as many as nine flashes, a pause, and nine flashes, but often is five then three or some such. Each pair will be separated by a longer pause. Jot these codes down and hit the 'net for the meaning... or visit a friendly car parts store and look at Hayne's Computer Codes book to find out what they mean.
