check fuses , check for power at switch, check power at motor in door , power window switches are in console then power feed goes through door jam to inside of door to motor , check for corroded connections or breaks in the wiring if all wiring is good then process of elimination, for fuses, relay switch then motor, each item can be bought at GM or Year One Inc. that's how I did mine Year One 1-800-950-9503

Have you checked the ignition switch on the column . I had to replace the one in my 1977 Trans Am.
If it's factory installed...it's for the rear window defroster.
You can find a power window wiring diagram for your 1977 through 1979 Pontiac Trans Am in Pontiac service manuals. The service manuals can be found at most local libraries.
There is no kill switch on a 1998 Trans Am.

we have turn signals but no back up brake or warning signals we get power to signal switch on transmission but not beyond that point should this modual be changed keep in mind that this is a 1981 ford f150 and if this modual is changed will that help?
On a 1988 Laredo vehicle, the trans switch labeled "power" or "comfort" refers to the transmission mode selection. "Power" mode would provide quicker acceleration and higher engine RPMs for more performance-oriented driving. "Comfort" mode would offer smoother shifting and lower engine RPMs for a more relaxed driving experience with better fuel efficiency.
The most common switch mounted there is the switch for the rear defrost. It could also have been a switch to power a factory supplied amp for the stereo. Most likely it is the first.
