The fuse is blown. They put the dash lights and tail lights on the same fuse so that if you are driving at night the absence of the dash lights will be made relevent to you in order to get your tail lights fixed.
To replace the taillights on a 2001 Nissan front first prop the hatch open. Locate the rear lights plastic housing and remove them to find the bulbs. Replace the bulbs.
A blown fuse can cause the dashlights and taillights to stop working on a 2001 Dodge 1500.
2000-2005 Chevy Impalas have the same tail lights.....
Blown fuse, failed switch, broken wire, burnt out bulbs,
You probably won't have dash lights either. The problem will probably be at the light switch. If you take out the switch, there will be a burnt wire, and the switch will have to be replaced, along with a pigtail for the burnt wire.
you probably have a wire touching metal somewhere or a short.......... you probably have a wire touching metal somewhere or a short..........
Turns out it was a relay. I just switched the one for the fog lights(not equipped) with the one for the chmsl and it works fine
Check the STOP fuse in the passenger compartment Check the switch on the pedestal of the brake pedal.
