White smoke that smells sweet, from the tailpipe is a sign of coolant entering the combustion chamber. You possibly have a blown head gasaket or a cracked head. Very Serious!!! Stop driving the vehicle until you have this looked into, or you will destroy this engine.
C.P.S stands for crank position sensor , with is normally located in the oil pan of the 3.1 motor of a Chevy ,olds or Pontiac engine , the c.p.s controls your ideling of your engine =]

This motor is not compatible with diesel engine parts. As this motor is generally used in smaller GM cars that are a little more than lightweight. You would need a motor for a GM truck to match with diesel parts.
engines dont drop out the bottom you have to lift it out from the top disconnect everything from motor lift it a little bit . take out engine mount screws at bottom of engine and it will come out
the starter motor is behind the intake manifold. after you take the main intake shield, there is another shield that covers the starter motor. remove the starter shield and you can find the motor. its a little hard that other cars i used to have but it can be worked on. just need a little more patience.
