You have to change the transmission filter and fluid. your fluid is, too. old.. the same thing happen to me, for the longest time, I am a mechanic my self but I never was able to find out what it was till I talk to my friend who specialize in fixing Ford,Mercury and Lincon cars at the dealer. He told me So and guest what? He was right 100%
