Why would a 2001 Camaro with a V6 3800 engine make a whirring sound for 5-10 seconds after being started cold?

I have a camaro V6 2001 and it makes same sound. I think it's the servo pump (steeling wheel) making a sound since it has a cold fluid it has to push through cold hoses and valves. I'm not 100% sure though, but same thing was happening last year and had no problems during summer time. regards
