could be linkage adjustment or low fluid level in gearbox
My 1997 would not shift out of first gear, was 'throttle position sensor'.
Yes
i like an axhaust diagram for a 1999 chevy venture
There is a good chance you will need to overhaul your tranny. My 99 Venture would hard shift after driving for a while. Turn it off and restart and all would be good. Then it would act up again. It is usually caused by either the torque converter or the valve body. Get both replaced. I have done 30k in the vehicle since overhaul and it runs perfectly.
how to take strut off of venture van would like to see diagram please

Blown head gasket.
The same thing happened to my dads 96 Chevy S-10. The transmission was rusted not allowing it to shift. I would have the transmission checked out.
If your 1997 Chevy diesel will not shift into overdrive, you might have an issue with a transmission sensor. Some of these vehicles have several sensors that must engage in order to shift.
whatever the side of the tire says it should be inflated to. read it, it has nothing to do with it being a Chevy venture, if you put different tires on it than the factory, it would be different air pressures
broken engine gasket.
