It needs a tune up or an adjustment of the idle speed, ther eis an idle screw, it is the screw which limits the return of the throttle linkage, remnove the air filter holusing (the big black round pan on the engne, have a friend step on the accelerator pedal whiclke you look a th the linkage on the carburator, when it returns (as the foot is lifted of the pedal) it will stop at the closed position, there is a screw which acts as a stop for the linkage, tighten it a couple of turns and the idel speed will go up and it will not die.
