When you disconnect the battery cables to service / or change the battery , the
vehicle has to relearn it's " drive cycle " so it may not idle correctly , the transmission
may not shift properly etc. until everthing is " relearned "
Turns over but will not start or will not turn over? Is there a small wire at the battery, positive side that is not connected?
Battery could be dead , or a poor cable connection to the battery
Sounds like a dead battery. You need the battery to start the car, but once it is running the engine runs completely off of the alternator (which also recharges the battery if the battery is still good).
Check battery, charge it or change it. Dead battery.
You will be running off the battery power only. Once the battery is run down you be stuck, unable to start.
A battery is used to start a car. Once it is running, the alternator then supplies electrical energy to charge the battery as well as power the electrical systems in the car. Removing the battery while the car is running will not affect the running of the car.
battery is in the trunk, put the red to red and black to black and have the other car running to charge your battery and give it a couple mins then start your miata
keys have to be reprogram to the cluster
It could be because its running out of battery
When you turn the ignition key does the running light dim a little bit?
Check fuses as the battery change should not initiate a "No Start" condition.
Maybe try changing your battery cables at starter and engine block ground connection.
