The 3rd gen rear is the same 10-bolt design but they are 4" shorter. You may have to accomidate by getting wider rims and tires but you may be able to get by. You can do it...but the only way i would do it is if i really wanted wider tires. 3rd/4th gen Camaro rear ends are 7.5 or 7.625 which both are rather small. Add the fact that the rear end will/does have higher milage and you get: Go to a pick-a-part junkyard and grab yourself nice brand new rear end from a selection of thousands of wrecked 4th gen camaros. But again... you can do it.
