From 1988 to 1995 Yes if it is a SHORT BED Fleetside. They will interchange. You can't put a LONG BED Fleetside on a Step-Side. Hope this helps.
A step side bed is used for pick up trucks. It is used as a cargo box which is designed with the fender wells on the inside of the bed of the pick up truck.
I have a 1998 Chevy 1500 extended cab short bed step side, it will take 22 gallons when empty, I also have a 1998 extended cab fleet side it will take 25 gallons when empty. Hope this helps.
Yes to 1500 only
If you have a long bed ranger then the answer is no. The edge was a short bed step side.

Open the tail gate and look inside at the side of the bed where the lights are on the side of the bed and you will see 2 small phillp screews. Remove them and the light will come out.
"Step side" typically refers to a type of truck design where the bed of the truck is lower than the cab, creating a step-like appearance along the side. This design allows for easier access to the truck bed and often features a distinct, angular look. The term can also be used in other contexts, such as in dance or choreography, to describe specific lateral movements or formations.
