It will fit BUT it WON"T work...

Your 1500 / 1/2 TON MUST HAVE THE 4L60E / 65ETransmission put back in it Because of the computer wireing system / harness will not plug up to the 4L80E transmission.

The 1/2 tons used the 4L60E and the 3/4 tons and up used the 4L80E in them.
