It might. You'd need to check the diamter of the output shaft of the trans.
I think you will need to use the caprice tranny as the bolt holes are different on the olds tranny. Here is how it works if the motor is a Chevy you must use a tranny with the Chevy bolt patern. There is some trannys with both bolt pattern. (never seen one). If it is an olds motor you must use a BPO tranny. BPO is a Buick, Pontiac or Oldsmobile. I am sure that they do make adapter though (never seen one)
Not usually.
on the left side of motor above front driveshaft
yes yes
That would be the 4L60E
Depends on the year and bodystyle
Not likely. They are two different bolt patterns.
If it's for a 305 it's a Chevy and will interchange with a 350. If it's an Olds, it won't.
yes and no yes in that it can be made to fit no in that a Chevy transmission has a different bolt pattern than Oldsmobile's, Buick's, and Pontiac's. the motor mounts are also probably going to be different. However you can change the motor mounts and there are companies that make adapters to use a Chevy transmission with a Oldsmobile, Buick, or Pontiac engine. I have seen an adapter to use a ford transmission with a Chevy engine.
in the back of the motor above where the tranny bolts to the motor need a lift to do the job
remove bolts that connect tranny and driveshaft, two bolts at the bottom of the engine mounts, remove the wire harness and pull motor and tranny together, ive pulled mine rebuilt it and put it back in in a weekend.
Yes it most definately can. Tranny, engine and front driveshaft and axles will fit. You just need the proper "k" accessories. Ask any expert at a chevy shop or custom mechanic's shop for specifics.
