Depends on the C6. The 360 is from the FE/FT big block Ford family. If the C6 came from behind a 331-428 big block, it will fit the 360. The exception being the 335 series big block trannies (351 C or M, 400) or the 385 series big block trannies (429, 460). The 335 and 385 series big blocks shared a bell housing (with some rare exceptions in the 335 family which had a small block bell housing) which was rifferent from the FE/FT.
Depends on the C6 transmission you have. They made several variants for different Ford Engine types for the FE and 385 Big Blocks. So For a 390 you will need a C6 that mates to an FE engine.
a c6 transmission is the best match
Ford C6 if it will fit.
Bolt spacing where the bellhousing mates to the back of the engine.
The Ford C6 uses engine vaccum to sense the shift points. In a diesel engine setup there is a vaccum regulator to accomplish the same thing as in a gas engine.
no the c4 is not compatible with the 302 you would need a c6
New process 435, Dana t18 and C6 automatic, all with big bellhousing.
C6 or an aod
ford c6 is a 3 speed 3

the ford trucks with a 6.9l diesel from '83-'87 were equiped with C6 AUTO TANS
Yes, but I would use the C6 tranny too.
