To get a 2003 F-150 Truck to start after replacing the instrument cluster the cluster will have to be re-programmed. A dealer or possibly a locksmith can reprogram an instrument cluster.

To fix the odometer on a 1984 Corvette, first, remove the instrument cluster from the dashboard. Check the odometer gears for any signs of wear or breakage, as these are common failure points. If the gears are damaged, they will need to be replaced; you can often find replacement gears online or at auto parts stores. After replacing the gears, reassemble the cluster and reinstall it in the vehicle, ensuring all connections are secure.

how do i reset the sensor on the instrument cluster on a 1984 corvett?
It should, but the 1985 dash cluster was easier to read, Eckler's offers a reasonably priced rebuilding service, if you have the original.
There is no easy way. The instrument cluster will have to be removed.
It is most likely a poor contact on a printed circuit board in the cluster. You would have to disassemble the cluster and clean the boards with alcohol. Mine turned out to be a contact on one of the boards that had never been soldered.
Did you replace it with the correct cluster ? the later ones are not compatible. You can replace the circuit board with a new one
The Engine Control Module (ECM) probably has to be flashed to relearn the new cluster. This is a job for the Mitsubishi dealer.
