Yes, but you would want to add the steam holes between the bores. Use a 400 head gasket for a template and drill 3/16" holes through to the water jacket.
No, the 1992 Chevy 350 (5.7L) V8 is not a Vortec engine.
Why 400 heads? They are notoriously bad flowing heads without much modification the engine would be about 360 cubic inches, but the heads have nothing to do with the size of the engine.
The 350 engine was introduced in 1968. A 1955 small block would be a 265 or 283.
the block & heads are the same you just have to pull the 305 out & put the 350 back in
85 ft/lbs
Yes they will fit , But you will notice no change what soever. ( no more power )
98 Chevy new 383 block 30k, ticking noise from sounds like heads . 210k on heads;
The cylinder heads are diffrent. Intake from 1998 truck will not bolt up to 1990 heads.
bolt them on their the same
That's what should be on it.
1979 267 / 350 engine ! Danny Coleman
Depending on years that you are swapping around....yes. The 305 heads will raise the compression of the 350 considerably. However, the intake valves are a lot smaller than the 350.
