Not clear on "cracked condenser", but a bad condenser in the distributor would cause the points to wear out quickly, which could easily keep the truck from starting.

Assuming this is the AC condenser, if it has had a small leak, the area around the leak would be oily and covered with road dirt. You could inject an ultraviolet dye into the system and the leak would show up with a black light or just take it to a shop that does AC work and have them work on it.
