What made you think that was the problem in the first place? If you haven't run a diagnostic test, you don't know what's wrong. The computer is constantly testing each component as the vehicle runs. If anything is wrong, the computer stores the problem code and you can retrieve it using a code scanner. If you don't care to trust the onboard diagnostics, you should test each piece before you replace it. If you just start throwing parts at a problem all you do is cause more potential problems. Next time, just replace the parts that the computer says are bad, it will save you in the long run.

iat sensor on a 97 blazer and what does it do
If you have a carburator, there is no position sensor. If you have a Throttle Body or fuel infection, it is on the same shaft that moves the butterflys inside the assy. Where your footpeddle cable and cruse control cable connects, the position sensor is on the opposite side of the throttle body from that on the same shaft. Held on the side of the assy by two small bolts with a electrical connector.
