I'm having a hard time also the doors have child protections lock on them.
Could be a bad actuator in the door
If your overhead compass on your 1998 Mercury Mountaineer does not work, the fuse could be what is wrong with it. Check the fuse and replace it as needed.

5w-30 would work best. If you prefer a heavier oil, you could also use 10w-30.
