Not purposely. The official stance is, like Greece and indeed everywhere else the Egyptians were babarians. But it didn't stop Romans using some of their ideas when they destroyed the Kingship in Egypt, such as being buried in sarcophagi. The ideas of Rome came from all over the place, such as Greece, Mesopatamia, etc. But of course Romans couldn't really acknowledge this.
