George Washington influenced the role of president because he was the first president of the US. he had no example to follow, so he kind of had to make one. he set up the idea of the cabinet, or having a group of advisors for the president. he also set up the idea of the president only being able to serve 2 terms in office, which would be strictly followed until roosevelt changed it temporarily during his term as president.
