The colonists were angry because of the famous line "no taxation without representation." Britain kept passing acts and the colonists had no say. The Sugar Act and Townshend Acts had been passed before the Stamp Act. In the end, Britain did repeal (get rid of) the Stamp Act, but then passed an act requiring the colonists to house British soldiers.
they both had different causes of their revolution, also the outcome of the American revolution was Independence if i remember. The outcome of the french revolution was the end of taxation without representation and also the peoples independence from the monarchy. I'm not sure if that helps you, but i did my best lol
It was a result of a compromise between the North and the South. The North wanted slaves to be counted for taxation purposes in the South to bring in more revenue for the federal government which was something the South did not want. But the South wanted to count slaves towards in population in terms of representation so they could have more members in the House of Representative which the North did not want. In the end they settled upon the idea that each slave counted as 3/5 of a person, both in terms of taxation and representation.
The result of the passage of the Townshend Acts was a colonial boycott against British products. Trade between England and America fell off by 50 percent as a result of the boycott. The British merchants complained to Parliament who repealed the Townshend Duties except the tax on tea. The tea tax was kept in honor of the Declaratory Act. Parliament passed that act to declare that they did have the right to tax the colonies regardless of the American claim of internal or external taxation. The colonists would claim that the Declaratory Act was unconstitutional because the colonies did not have representation in Parliament.
They wanted independence from England to become their own nation
how to end taxation without representation.

The British government wanted to raise taxes on the colonist after they funded the French and Indian War, and needed money. The colonist decided they did not want to be taxed without representation in the government. -"No Taxation Without Representation" was a slogan that was used to deflect the real desire to expand into the western land, to which England had made treaties with the indian nations not to expand into its territories, to end the French/Indian wars. So, began the American habit of repeatedly breaking treaties with the Indians.
The people who fought in the revolutionary war were the British and the Colonists. They went to war because King George III would enforce laws and taxes to the Colonists without there representation. Taxation without representation" meant that the colonists were being taxed and given laws without any representation, meaning that the laws given to them were just given without even letting the colonists knowing. This was unfair to the colonists so they boycotted (rebelled) on all British laws, taxes, and goods. The British could see that the colonists would never give up fighting for their liberty, so they kept fighting, more people died, but in the end, the colonists had won, and liberty was theirs. No longer did they have a monarchy (When a king and or queen runs a nation or country), but now they had a democracy. (people would vote for a leader to represent their country.)
The colonies sought to end English rule primarily due to issues like taxation without representation, where they were subjected to taxes imposed by the British Parliament without having any representatives to voice their interests. Additionally, they resented restrictions on trade and economic activities imposed by British policies. Growing sentiments of self-governance and the desire for individual liberties further fueled their push for independence. These factors collectively ignited a revolutionary spirit among the colonists, leading them to seek autonomy from British rule.
In the mid-18th century, the relationship between the Colonists and the English was increasingly strained due to growing tensions over taxation, governance, and territorial expansion. The British government imposed several taxes, such as the Stamp Act and the Townshend Acts, which fueled resentment among the Colonists who felt their rights were being violated without proper representation. This discontent laid the groundwork for a burgeoning sense of American identity and calls for independence, ultimately leading to revolutionary sentiments by the end of the decade. Despite a shared cultural heritage, the Colonists began to view the British Crown as an oppressive force rather than a protective authority.

The British left North Carolina primarily due to the growing discontent among the colonists, which culminated in the American Revolutionary War. Increasing tensions over taxation without representation and British interference in local governance fueled resistance. Additionally, military setbacks and the shift in strategic focus towards more loyalist areas contributed to their withdrawal. By the end of the war, the British recognized the futility of maintaining control over the increasingly rebellious colonies.
Wanting to be free from the King of England and end taxes without representation.
