Because of a contested election which won't be decided until on or after 26 January 2009 Minnesota has only one US Senator at the beginning of the 111th Congress. Amy Klobuchar (D) is seated and either Al Franken (D) or Norm Coleman (R) will be declared as the winner of that election.
