Unless the person specifically states that he is a member of the Freemasons, it is hard to know for sure.
However, at least two Charles Thompsons were active in the Masons:
1) Charles Edwin Thompson (1890-1936)
- a Canadian politician who was the 27th mayor of Vancouver
2) Charles Henry Thompson (1882-1972), state senator and elected judge
- Justice of the Illinois Supreme Court 1942-1951
-Chief Justice in two two-year periods 1945-1946 and 1949-1950.
George Washington was a Freemason.
George Thompson Sekibo was born on 1957-04-01.
James Garfield was a freemason. I do not know if he belonged to other societies.
Yes, he appears on membership lists and never made a secret of it himself. Being a Freemason is moreover totally acceptable in the US and many US Presidents and a great number of high Government officials are known to be or have been Freemasons.

It is nearly impossible to know for sure, but it is doubtful he was a Freemason.
Charles A. Lindbergh was indeed a Freemason. He was raised as a Master Mason in 1926 at Keystone Lodge #243 in St. Louis, Missouri.
