The branches of government are divided into 3 parts. The legislative, executive, and judicial. The executive branch enforces the laws, the judicial makes the laws and the legislative does something else.
The executitive branch includes :president+vice president+executitive department agencies.
Judical branch includes:the supreme court

1. Legislative - the lawmaking branch of the government. Consists of a 2 house Congress. The House of Representatives is where representatives from every state goes to propose laws/vote on laws. (how many representatives a state gets depends on their population.) The other house, the Senate, is also where the senators propose/vote on laws. Each state gets 2 senators no matter the population.
2. Executive - the enforcing/carrying out of laws. Consists of the president and cabinet
3. Judicial - interprets laws. They also protect the constitution by making sure laws follow the constitution.
