What was the role of Britain in war world 2?

UK in WW2Britain was on the Allied side, which at first included France and later included the US and USSR. Since France was invaded and defeated early in the war, and the US and USSR did not enter until later, Britain was the nation who fought the Nazis longer than any other. CommentAfter the collapse of France in 1940 Britain continued the war against Nazism, so Germany found itself fighting on two fronts (from 1941 onwards) as in WW1.

Finally an answer than doesnt say America did everything cause the basicly didnt go on Google and look for how many people were lost during ww2 it was down to Britain and its empire that defeated the Nazis aswell as Russia without russia Germany would of won that war, America lost nothing a few thousand people some war ships and planes when japan attacked pearl harbour how can you be so upset by that to NUKE japan and its not even military bases you nuked cities of inosence you should be ashamed of yourselfs the allys didnt need your help the war was won no matter what yes it would of lasted alot longer but Germany where in alot of debt they would of lost anyway, the main job for American soilders was to protect Britain ( obviously im biased im English also id probably say the leasder of the allys was Britain) also the whole point of the war with Germany was to take down Hitler and end nazi control and yet America were the only ones to profit for the war because they did nothing.
