Texan's favored annexation because, this mean't more land for them and most of the Texans were against Mexican laws, and started revolts, so the only they that bettered them in this situation was the Annexation.

They hoped to gain economic stability and a stronger central government. Thousands of the immigrants going into Texas had come from the United States, so ties were already stronger between the two. A lot of people wanted to rid Texas of its debts. It allowed joint resolution providing for an immediately stated hood. It also contained terms more favourable to Texas than the treaties of 1844. Settlers wanted better soil and Merchants wanted ports on the pacific coast.

Texans wanted the annexation so they could share the strong army and money

system with the US. Some also wanted to visit friends and family that lived there.
