The color of tie the president wears is based on what he wants other people to feel when they see him. A red tie represents power and is often worn when meeting with other leaders, specifically those of allied nations, or when trying to come off as the "alpha." A blue tie, is a calming and more peaceful color. The president might wear a blue tie when meeting with leaders of nations with whom there is a lot of tension, or when speaking during a press conference about issues people may not be happy about.
Many things the president does, he does because it's something he was coached to do. Everything from how he speaks and the words he chooses, to the way he offers his hand for a hand shake. His choice in ties is no different.
the vice president's only job, besides becoming president if the president dies, is to break a tie in a vote in the senate.
Harry S Truman.
Vice president.
Under the Senate's rules, a bill has to receive a majority (meaning more than half) of the votes to pass. Therefore, if there is a tie and there is no Vice President to break the tie, the bill fails because is has not received a majority. A previous answer asserted that the President Pro Tempore would break the tie--however, the President Pro Tem is a Senator and therefore would presumably have already voted.
The Vice President's role in the US Senate is to be the offical tie breaker if a tie on the floor shall occur. He is also referred to as the President of the Senate. Al Gore was the last vice president to break a tie on the Senate floor.(S.Menzel)luke dylan mayes

In the United States Government when a person is holding office they are supposed to wear red ties which represent power. Everyone else involved in government like congress members are supposed to wear blue ties because blue represents control. The president has all the power but he is only a puppet because he is controlled by the rest of the government. But u were pretty close
