How long does it take for a frog to lay its egg?

That depends on the species. Usually the eggs are developed in spring and are layed into the water where they are directly fertilized by the male. Some frogs only mate once a year, others can mate anytime.

I am not sure how long it takes hour wise but it takes the whole mating session for the eggs to be laid. It is very strange.
