They don't.When the poison dart frogs get startled they secrete a poison from their skin.So anything and anyone touching the frog will get the frog's poison on their skin, where it can cause anything from mild swelling and discomfort to death. Thus, anything that ingests the frog will die.
The poison dart frog of the amazon jungle in Columbia, South America
DescriptionThe Blue Poison Dart Frog is a small frog with bright blue coloring. Its back and top of the head are a lighter-colored sky blue, while its belly and legs are a darker blue color. Dark blue and black spots cover the frog's body, primarily its back and head. The sexes are similar in appearance, with females being slightly larger than males.
Poison dart frogs (There are more than 100 different species) typically range from approximately one half of an inch long (1.27 cm) for juveniles to four inches (10.32 cm) for adults, although I have personally seen some at over 5 inches (12.86 cm). A dart frogs height (If it is laying down) is about one third of the total length for young frogs, and one quarter of the length for larger ones. However, the front legs are often extended as they rest on their haunches which could make them as tall as they are long. Hope that helps!
it can be blue, red, orange, etc. (mostly bright colors) just look at images of them on Google
it is only 17 - 24 mm in lengthhead and body of the poison dart frog are strawberry-red or orange-redblue or black lower partsMales are very territorial. When provoked, they will jump on top of another intruding male. They will wrestle for up to 20 minutes. While wrestling, both frogs stand on their hind legs and try to push one another to the ground with their front legs. Once one is pinned, the winner, usually the owner of the territory, allows the other to leave.
because their body features, like the bent legs and bent front limbs help them to be able to jump, and these body features also helps to push their body upwards in other to jump as far as they can.
Too give birth, some frogs use their legs to make foam to lay eggs in. Others, lay their eggs on leaves to keep them moist. Also, some lay their eggs on leaves, wait for them to hatch and then the male frog will carry the tadpoles to little pools in trees and then the mother goes back and feeds them infertilized eggs. Another adaption would be their suction pads on their toes that secrete a sticky mucus, enabling the frog to cling to tree trunks and branches. Other types have wild colored skin and that lets the predator know that they are poisonous and nothing will try to harm them.
They do exist even though I'm not very good on this subject. Their body is red with blue legs. They can be found in Central America and is about 17.5-22cm long. Go to the web and search for it. There are heaps of info there, better than my description
