Turtles don't have any venom like snakes do, and they also have no way to deliver venom, either, as they have no teeth or fangs. They are not poisonous, either. They don't secrete any poisonous substance onto their skin or shells, the way poisonous frogs do. However, eating box turtles can make you sick, as they eat species of fungi that are poisonous to humans, and the poisons remain in their bodies, even after they've been cooked.
