i have dont allot of of research on this question and found tht they can live for a very long time.. I read on entry of a man who had his newt for 65 years.. Other websites say that the average life expectancy of fire belly newts is anywhere from 30 to 60 years.. they can regenerate new eyes, hearts, and limbs among other things.. Though I have only had my newts for a year and a half, I hope to have them for a very long time..
