The place where poison dart frogs live are called rain forest. This warm, wet weather is what poison dart frogs need. The rain lets the kinds of plants the frogs need to live on grow here. The warm weather keeps the frogs from getting too cold and it also means that there are lots of insects for the poison dart frogs to eat.

Well, this is a good question, due to the fact frogs have very unusual life style, especially considering the poison dart frog. The female frog usually has to be "fetal" so she can protect her babies. This way, if a predator tries to prey on the female poison dart frog, she can shoot poison through an extra capillary from the core of her tongue. The poison will thus burn the predator's outer skin layer depending on the species, so the acid will atribute time for the fetal frog to save her babies and escape. Males also protect themselves, but obviously they don't need to be fetal. Males are more endangered, so they can protect themselves whenever and wherever. This is indeed quite helpful. The frog also adapts to their living climate by finding a certain plan called the Hitumatary Seed. Therefore, the frog is enabled to make a nest like bed so they can hide, and stay dry as well as hidden throughout the nights. In the day, they can go under water and actually breath oxygen through their gills. It is pretty fascinating the wonders of the poison dart frog.
