In insects molting is regulated by ecdysone. In amphibians it's regulated by hormones from the thyroid gland, as is our growth, up to a certain degree. This also illustrates the fact toads are far more closely related to us (both vertebrates) and insects are an outgroup. ^^
Thyroxine
The hormone responsible for metamorphosis in frogs and toads is thyroxine. Thyroxine is produced by the thyroid gland and plays a crucial role in regulating the transformation of tadpoles into adult frogs or toads during metamorphosis.

metamorphosis
Metamorphosis. The back legs grow, then the front legs. The tail then disappears and you have a froglett.
Frogs and butterflies undergo complete metamorphosis, where they change drastically in form and structure as they transition from larvae to adults. Frogs go through a process called metamorphosis, while butterflies undergo metamorphosis from egg to caterpillar (larvae), pupa, and finally adult.
Dramatic change in an animals body is referred to as metamorphosis. Usually related to frogs and butterflies. Metamorphosis is the process bt which an animal changes into an adult form.
Frogs are said to have " two lives" because of their metamorphosis
It is Metamorphosis.
There are grasshoppers,frogs,butterflies,fish, and rabbits.
None of them. Tadpoles hatch and grow, then undergrow metamorphosis to become frogs. And they continue to grow as frogs.
