Herman bought them in the early 80's I believe and sold boots under the Herman Santa Rosa brand. The Santa Rosa trademark expired in the late 70's so they may not have been producing shoes/boots when Herman bought the brand. Not sure if Herman bought the company or just the rights to the brand.
