Sometimes it just means he's friends with you and wants to get to know your friends. A more likely predicament would be that he likes you and is not straightforward enough or certain enough that you would reciprocate. Thus, he tests your reaction to his interactions with others before going to you yourself.

I think you would perhaps call her "unfortunate" and "lonely." My next question would be to the writer of the ?, how do you know she is jealous...of what or whom is she jealous, and why do you believe she is jealous?
Unless one is severly introverted, having no friends would make life very different in a bad way. Most humans crave other human reactions so not having friends would become really lonely.
You need family and friends to count on, to go through stuff with, to support you, to help you, to make you less lonely, to go through life with. To do things with who else would you do it with? strangers? And if they are not friends or family why would you spend time with them personally?..not trying to be negative. hope i helped :)

Someone could spend so much time online that they would not catch up with friends and family. Everyone would just get so sick and leave them as a friend
