No. Atlantis was a sunken city that supposedly existed;however, no concrete evidence exists to support such claims--it is simply a myth, or a legend. On the other hand, Pompeii did very much exist. It is a partially buried Roman town near Naples today. It is buried under ash and pumice, due to the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in AD 79. It was lost, then rediscovered in 1748. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site today.
The first mention of the legendary Atlantis is found in the writings of Plato. It is still debated whether Atlantis was a real historical place or if it's just a myth.
No, the volcano that wiped Pompeii off the map took place long after when the Trojan War is thought to have happened.
No God lived on Atlantis. Atlantis was ruled by twelve kings who all died when the island sank. After that nobody lived on or even in Atlantis.
You can not get to Atlantis. It is underwater because of the eruption of Thera.

Atlantis is a fictitious place
No they were not. Pompeii was destroyed in 79 BC. It is now thought that Atlantis was the Greek island of Santorini, which in antiquity was called Thera. It is a volcanic island. Most of the island collapsed into the sea in a Volcanic eruption which is thought to have occurred in the mid-second millennium BC. But we have to keep in mind that the philosopher Plato in a book he wrote came up with the concept of an "ideal" society he called Atlantis and which according to him was sunk into the ocean as a punishment by the Gods right after they had supposedly tried to attack Athens. So Atlantis may also have been completely made up by him.
Pompeii worms get their name from the place they were found/discovered- Pompeii.

The ruins of Pompeii still remain but there is a modern day town called Pompeii which is located close to the ruins.
The existence of Atlantis has not yet been proven. If Atlantis was indeed a real place then it stands to reason that there were people and animals there.
To a mythical place called Atlantis there are none. There are several undersea sites of sunken cities which may be the root of the myth of Atlantis.
There are many myths about Atlantis and its people. The people died when the place sank.
